What can I save with Share to Note?
Anything you can share from iOS: web links, App Store pages, text selections, single photos, or multi-photo selections from your library. Share to Note recognizes the content automatically.
Where are my notes stored?
On your device, and in your personal iCloud account. There is no Share to Note server, and the developer never has access to your data.
Does it sync across my iPhone, iPad, and Mac?
Yes — through your iCloud account, automatically. As long as you're signed into the same Apple ID, your notes (and preferences) follow you.
Can I save multiple photos in a single note?
Yes. Select several photos in the Photos app, tap Share → Share to Note, and they're saved together as one note.
Is there a subscription?
No. Share to Note is free to use, and a one-time Unlock removes the limit on the number of notes you can keep. No recurring fees, ever.
What happens if I delete the app?
Your iCloud data stays in iCloud unless you also delete it from Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage. Reinstall later and your notes come back.
What devices are supported?
iPhone and iPad running a recent version of iOS / iPadOS. The widget, share extension, and main app are all included in a single download.

Privacy Policy Effective June 3, 2026
Share to Note is designed to be private by default. The developer (Sylvain Lafrance) does not collect, transmit, store, or share any personal information about you or the content you save.
What the App stores
- Notes you create or capture (links, text, images) are stored locally on your device.
- Your notes sync across devices you sign into using your personal Apple ID, through Apple's iCloud service. The developer does not have access to your iCloud data.
- App preferences (such as light/dark appearance) sync through Apple's iCloud Key-Value Store.
What we do not do
- We do not operate any backend servers.
- We do not use advertising, tracking SDKs, or third-party services other than the website analytics described below.
- We do not request or access your contacts, location, microphone, or camera.
Website analytics
This marketing website uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate, anonymous visitor traffic. The Share to Note app itself contains no analytics or tracking of any kind.
Third-party services
- Apple iCloud (CloudKit) — used to sync your notes between your own devices. See Apple's privacy policy for Apple's practices.
- Apple StoreKit / App Store — used only to process the optional one-time Unlock in-app purchase.
Your rights
You can delete any note from within the app at any time, or remove all data by uninstalling the app and deleting the iCloud data for "Share to Note" from Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage.
Children's privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13. The developer does not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective" date at the top of this section. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

Terms of Use Effective June 3, 2026
These Terms of Use form a binding agreement between you and Sylvain Lafrance (the "Developer") regarding your use of the iOS application Share to Note (the "App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the App.
1. Acceptance
Your use of the App constitutes acceptance of these Terms and of any future modifications.
2. License
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, the Developer grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on any Apple-branded device that you own or control, as permitted by Apple's Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms.
3. Permitted use
The App is provided for your personal use as a tool to capture and organize content you choose to save. You agree to use the App in accordance with all applicable laws.
4. Restrictions
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the App, except as expressly permitted by law;
- Modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works of the App;
- Rent, lease, lend, sell, redistribute, sublicense, or commercially exploit the App;
- Use the App to save, store, or distribute unlawful, infringing, or harmful content;
- Use the App in a way that interferes with the operation of Apple's services, the Developer's services, or the devices of other users.
5. Your content
The App stores notes, links, text, and images that you choose to save ("Your Content"). You retain all rights to Your Content. The Developer does not collect, transmit, host, or have access to Your Content. You are solely responsible for Your Content and for ensuring you have the rights to save, store, or share any content you capture.
6. In-app purchases
The App is free to download and offers an optional, one-time in-app purchase ("Unlock") that removes the limit on the number of notes the App will keep active. The Unlock is a non-consumable, non-subscription purchase processed by Apple through the App Store. Refunds, where available, are handled by Apple, not by the Developer.
7. Intellectual property
The App, including its name, logo, design, code, text, and assets, is owned by the Developer and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. No rights are granted to you other than the limited license described in Section 2.
Apple, the Apple logo, App Store, iCloud, iPhone, iPad, and Mac are trademarks of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. THE DEVELOPER DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY DATA WILL BE PRESERVED, RECOVERABLE, OR SECURE.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE DEVELOPER WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, REVENUE, OR USE, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE APP.
THE DEVELOPER'S TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE UNLOCK (IF ANY) IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE LIABILITY, OR USD $10, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
10. Apple-specific terms
You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and the Developer only, and not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. The Developer, not Apple, is solely responsible for the App, for addressing any user claims, and for addressing any third-party intellectual-property claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
11. Termination
These Terms apply for as long as you use the App. The Developer may suspend or terminate your right to use the App at any time if you breach these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your devices.
12. Modifications
The Developer may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective" date. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec, Canada, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be brought exclusively in the courts located in Quebec, Canada, except where prohibited by mandatory consumer-protection laws of your jurisdiction.
