When you subscribe to Pro, the first period is free — every Pro feature unlocked. The trial duration is set in App Store Connect and shown in the app's paywall before you confirm. Cancel anytime before the trial ends in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions and you won't be charged.
If you don't cancel, your subscription continues at the regular Pro price and you keep using everything. If you do cancel, the app shows a paywall the next time you open it — you can subscribe again any time.

What? uses Anthropic's Claude language model to transform your text. AI-generated results can contain errors, hallucinations, biases, or inappropriate tone. Always review and edit before sending, publishing, or relying on the result.
When you run an action, your text is sent to Anthropic's servers for processing and then returned to your device. We do not store, log, train on, or sell your text. Your history stays on your device and syncs only via your private iCloud account. Developer-tier API keys live in your iOS Keychain and never reach our servers.
Output from What? — including from any Action Pack such as Lawyer's, Student, or Recovery — is not legal, medical, financial, mental-health, or other professional advice. Consult a licensed professional for important decisions.
What? processes requests through Anthropic. Subscriptions, refunds, and billing are handled by Apple. We don't control the availability of either. If a third-party service is unavailable, the corresponding feature in What? may not work.
You're responsible for the text you submit and for how you use the result. Don't paste sensitive information you don't want sent to a third-party AI service (passwords, government IDs, confidential business secrets, etc.).
What · Said ("the app", "we", "us") is built and operated by Sylvain Lafrance, based in Montréal, Canada. Contact: support@myrcbox.com.
The app sends the text you submit, plus the action you chose, to Anthropic via our Cloudflare Worker proxy in order to return a result. We also generate a random anonymous device identifier (a UUID) used to enforce rate limits — it is not linked to your name, email, Apple ID, or any other personal data.
Your subscription receipt (an Apple-signed JWS token) is cached by SHA-256 hash in Cloudflare KV for up to 24 hours so the proxy can validate your tier without re-verifying every request. Anthropic's data handling is governed by their own privacy policy at anthropic.com/legal/privacy.
Your history is stored only on your device. iCloud sync, if you enable it, uses your private iCloud — we do not have access to it. Bring-Your-Own-Key (Developer tier) API keys are kept in the iOS Keychain on your device, with iCloud Keychain sync if you've enabled that across your devices.
The app is rated 4+ and is intended for general audiences, but it is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Because we collect almost nothing, there's very little to delete on our side. You can wipe local history from inside the app at any time. To request deletion of any data tied to your anonymous user ID on our proxy, email support@myrcbox.com with that ID (Settings → About → User ID).
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll note them here with an updated effective date below.
By downloading or using What · Said, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, subject to Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
The app offers auto-renewing subscriptions through Apple. Some plans offer an introductory free trial. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
Refunds are handled by Apple under their App Store policies. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
You agree not to: (a) use the app to generate or distribute illegal, harmful, harassing, defamatory, hateful, sexually exploitative, or fraudulent content; (b) attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or interfere with the app's security; (c) abuse rate limits, attempt to evade quota controls, or otherwise impair service for other users; (d) use the app in any way that violates Anthropic's Usage Policy at anthropic.com/legal/aup.
The app produces output from a third-party AI model. Output may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or otherwise unsuitable. You are responsible for reviewing output before using it. We make no warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement regarding generated content.
If you use the Developer tier with your own Anthropic API key, you remain solely responsible for charges from Anthropic and for compliance with Anthropic's terms. We are not a party to your contract with Anthropic.
The app, its design, code, content, and trademarks are the property of Sylvain Lafrance. Output you generate from your own input is yours to use, subject to applicable law and Anthropic's terms.
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim related to the app is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or abuse the service. You may stop using the app at any time.
We may update these Terms occasionally. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated effective date.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Québec, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Montréal, Québec.
