What We Collect

Link Later stores the links you save, including URLs, titles, notes, and scheduling information. This data is stored locally on your device and synced via Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) to your other devices signed in with the same Apple Account.

Third-Party Services

Link Later does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. Your data stays between you and Apple's iCloud infrastructure.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, share, or transfer your personal data to any third party.

Data Storage

All data is stored on your device and in your personal iCloud account. We do not operate any external servers. Deleting the app removes all local data. iCloud data can be managed through your device's iCloud settings.

Subscriptions

Link Later Pro subscriptions are handled entirely through Apple's App Store. We do not collect or store any payment information.

End User License Agreement (EULA)

This End User License Agreement ("Agreement") is a legal agreement between you and Sylvain Lafrance ("Developer") for the use of Link Later ("App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to the terms of this Agreement.

1. License

The Developer grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on any Apple device that you own or control, subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

2. Restrictions

You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the App or any part of it
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Rent, lease, lend, sell, or sublicense the App
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose

3. Subscriptions

Link Later offers auto-renewable subscriptions (monthly and yearly) to unlock Pro features. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings. No refunds are provided for unused portions of a subscription period.

4. Intellectual Property

The App and all content, features, and functionality are owned by the Developer and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. The Developer does not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the App.

7. Termination

This Agreement is effective until terminated. Your rights under this Agreement will terminate automatically if you fail to comply with any of its terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the App and delete all copies.

8. Third-Party Terms

The App uses Apple's iCloud service to sync your data. Your use of iCloud is subject to Apple's terms and conditions. The Developer is not responsible for the availability or performance of iCloud services.

9. Changes to This Agreement

The Developer reserves the right to modify this Agreement at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

## Welcome to Link Later

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Link Later mobile application ("the App"), developed and operated by Sylvain Lafrance ("we", "us", "our").

By downloading, installing, or using Link Later, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

## 1. Description of Service

Link Later is a mobile application for iOS that allows users to save web links for later reading, organize them, and schedule reminders.

### 1.1 Free Version

The free version of Link Later includes:

- Save up to 15 web links

- Schedule reminders for saved links

- Basic link organization

- Notes for each link

- Search functionality

- Share extension for saving links from other apps

### 1.2 Pro Version

Link Later Pro subscribers gain access to:

- **Unlimited Links** - Save as many links as you want without limits

- **Favorites** - Mark and filter your most important links

- **Link Previews** - Beautiful thumbnail previews of your saved links

- **Export Functionality** - Export your links to various formats

- **Advanced Statistics** - Detailed analytics about your saved links and usage patterns

- Future Pro features as they are developed and released

We reserve the right to modify, add, or remove Pro features at any time with reasonable notice to subscribers.

## 2. Subscriptions

### 2.1 Subscription Plans

Link Later Pro is available through the following auto-renewing subscription options:

**Monthly Subscription:**

- Price: $2.99 USD per month

- Billed monthly

- Auto-renews every month

**Yearly Subscription:**

- Price: $19.99 USD per year

- Billed annually

- Auto-renews every year

- Saves 44% compared to monthly subscription

Prices may vary by region based on local currency and App Store pricing tiers.

### 2.2 Payment

Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.

All payments are processed securely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment information.

### 2.3 Auto-Renewal

**Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period.**

Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current subscription period, at the same price you initially paid.

### 2.4 Managing and Cancelling Subscriptions

You can view, manage, and cancel your subscription at any time through your device settings:

**On iOS:**

1. Open the Settings app

2. Tap your name at the top

3. Tap "Subscriptions"

4. Tap "Link Later Pro"

5. Tap "Cancel Subscription"

**Alternatively:**

- Open the App Store app

- Tap your profile icon

- Tap "Subscriptions"

- Select Link Later Pro

- Tap "Cancel Subscription"

### 2.5 Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

**Important:**

- You will continue to have access to Pro features until the end of your current billing period

- No refunds will be provided for the unused portion of any subscription period

- After cancellation, you will revert to the free version with a 15-link limit at the end of your billing period

### 2.6 Free Trial (If Applicable)

If we offer a free trial period, you must cancel before the trial period ends to avoid being charged. The subscription fee will be charged automatically when the trial period ends unless you cancel beforehand.

Trial eligibility may be limited to new subscribers only.

### 2.7 Refunds

Refund requests are handled by Apple according to their refund policies. We do not process refunds directly.

To request a refund:

1. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com

2. Sign in with your Apple ID

3. Find your Link Later subscription purchase

4. Follow the instructions to request a refund

Refunds are granted at Apple's sole discretion.

## 3. Account and Data

### 3.1 No Account Required

Link Later does not require you to create an account or provide personal information to use the App.

### 3.2 Local Data Storage

Your saved links, notes, and preferences are stored locally on your device using Apple's Core Data framework.

### 3.3 iCloud Sync (Pro Feature - Future)

Pro subscribers may have the option to enable iCloud sync to access their links across multiple Apple devices signed in with the same Apple ID.

When iCloud sync is enabled:

- Your data is stored in your personal iCloud account

- Data is encrypted and managed by Apple

- We do not have access to your iCloud data

- Sync is governed by Apple's iCloud Terms of Service

- You can disable sync at any time in the App's settings

### 3.4 Data Backup

**You are responsible for backing up your data.** We recommend:

- Enabling iCloud sync (when available) if you're a Pro subscriber

- Using the export feature (Pro) to create periodic backups

- Not relying solely on the App for critical information storage

We are not responsible for any data loss.

## 4. Acceptable Use

### 4.1 Permitted Use

You may use Link Later to:

- Save and organize web links for personal use

- Schedule reminders for yourself

- Share links with others

- Export your own data

### 4.2 Prohibited Use

You agree NOT to:

- Use the App to save, store, or share illegal content

- Save links to content that violates copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights

- Use the App to harass, abuse, or harm others

- Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or modify the App

- Attempt to circumvent subscription limitations or payment systems

- Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations

- Use the App to distribute malware, viruses, or malicious links

- Impersonate any person or entity

- Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality

### 4.3 Enforcement

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App if we believe you have violated these Terms, without refund.

## 5. Intellectual Property

### 5.1 Ownership

Link Later, including its design, code, features, user interface, graphics, and documentation, is owned by Sylvain Lafrance and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

### 5.2 License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Link Later for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

### 5.3 Your Content

You retain all rights to the links, notes, and other content you save in Link Later. We do not claim ownership of your content.

By using the App, you grant us a license to store and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the App's functionality to you.

### 5.4 Feedback

If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about Link Later, we may use them without any obligation to compensate you.

## 6. Third-Party Services

### 6.1 Apple Services

Link Later uses the following Apple services:

- **App Store** - For distribution and payment processing

- **StoreKit** - For subscription management

These services are governed by Apple's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

### 6.2 Link Previews

When you save a link, the App may fetch metadata (title, description, image) from the linked website. This is done directly from your device and we do not store or have access to this information on our servers.

### 6.3 Web Links

Link Later allows you to save and access links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for:

- The content, accuracy, or availability of third-party websites

- Any harm caused by visiting third-party websites

- The privacy practices of third-party websites

You access third-party websites at your own risk.

## 7. Disclaimers and Warranties

### 7.1 "As Is" Basis

LINK LATER IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

- Warranties of merchantability

- Fitness for a particular purpose

- Non-infringement

- Accuracy or reliability

- Uninterrupted or error-free operation

### 7.2 No Guarantees

We do not guarantee that:

- The App will always be available or accessible

- The App will be free from bugs, errors, or interruptions

- The App will work on all devices or iOS versions

- All features will function perfectly at all times

- Your data will never be lost or corrupted

- Links you save will remain accessible (third-party websites may change or be removed)

### 7.3 Device Compatibility

Link Later requires iOS 16.0 or later. We may discontinue support for older iOS versions at any time.

## 8. Limitation of Liability

### 8.1 Maximum Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL SYLVAIN LAFRANCE BE LIABLE FOR ANY:

- Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages

- Loss of profits, revenue, data, or use

- Business interruption

- Personal injury or property damage

ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF LINK LATER, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

### 8.2 Jurisdictions Without Limitation

Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation or exclusion of liability for incidental or consequential damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

### 8.3 Maximum Amount

In any case, our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for Link Later Pro in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50 USD, whichever is less.

## 9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Sylvain Lafrance from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

- Your use of Link Later

- Your violation of these Terms

- Your violation of any rights of another party

- Content you save or share through the App

## 10. Changes to the App

### 10.1 Updates and Modifications

We reserve the right to:

- Modify, update, or discontinue any features of Link Later at any time

- Change subscription pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers

- Add new features (which may be free or Pro-only)

- Fix bugs and improve performance

### 10.2 Required Updates

We may require you to update to the latest version of Link Later to continue using the App.

### 10.3 Discontinuation

We reserve the right to discontinue Link Later at any time, with reasonable notice. If we discontinue the App:

- Active subscribers will be notified at least 30 days in advance

- No new subscription charges will be processed

- You will have the opportunity to export your data (if technically feasible)

## 11. Changes to Terms

### 11.1 Right to Modify

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will:

- Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document

- Notify you through the App or via other reasonable means

- Provide a reasonable period for you to review the changes

### 11.2 Acceptance of Changes

Continued use of Link Later after changes to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you may:

- Stop using the App

- Cancel your subscription before the changes take effect

## 12. Termination

### 12.1 Termination by You

You may stop using Link Later at any time by:

- Deleting the App from your device

- Cancelling your subscription (if applicable)

### 12.2 Termination by Us

We reserve the right to:

- Suspend or terminate your access to Link Later

- Cancel your subscription without refund

If we reasonably believe you have:

- Violated these Terms

- Engaged in fraudulent activity

- Abused the App or its features

- Violated applicable laws

### 12.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

- Your access to Link Later will cease

- Your subscription will be cancelled (if applicable)

- Your local data will remain on your device unless you delete the App

- These Terms will continue to apply to any past use of the App

## 14. Children's Privacy

Link Later is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

If you believe a child under 13 has used Link Later, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

Parents and guardians are responsible for monitoring their children's use of mobile applications.

Link Later is available worldwide through the App Store in regions where Apple operates.

Some features may not be available in all countries due to:

## 16. Dispute Resolution

If you have a dispute with us, please contact us first at the email address below. We will attempt to resolve the dispute informally within 30 days.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Quebec, Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

### 16.3 Jurisdiction

You agree that any legal action or proceeding related to these Terms or Link Later shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in Quebec, Canada, and you consent to the jurisdiction of such courts.

### 16.4 Arbitration (If Applicable)

Some jurisdictions may require arbitration for disputes. If applicable in your jurisdiction:

- Disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration

- Arbitration shall be conducted in accordance with local arbitration rules

- Each party shall bear their own costs unless otherwise determined by the arbitrator

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Sylvain Lafrance regarding Link Later.

### 17.2 Severability

### 17.3 Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not be deemed a waiver of such right or provision.

### 17.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights under these Terms. We may assign these Terms without restriction.

### 17.5 No Third-Party Beneficiaries

These Terms do not create any third-party beneficiary rights.

### 17.6 Language

These Terms may be translated into other languages for your convenience. In case of any conflict, the English version shall prevail.

### 17.7 Apple Requirements

As Link Later is distributed through the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that:

- Apple is not a party to these Terms

- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Link Later

- Apple is not responsible for any claims related to Link Later

- In the event of any third-party claim that Link Later infringes intellectual property rights, Apple shall not be responsible

- You and Sylvain Lafrance (not Apple) are responsible for addressing any claims
